This is one of the most important monuments in Guatemala. It is the original main Cathedral for the Latin America colony. It its catacoms lie the graves of the original Spanish conquistidor of Guatemala, Pedro de Alvarado, and his sidekick, the historian of the conquest, Bernal Diaz.
